Other PTAB Decisions Addressing Financial Product or Service Requirement Under AIA § 18(d)(1)

Since inception, the PTAB has issued 324 decisions addressing whether at least one claim of the challenged patent is directed to a financial product or service as required for CBM review. The vast majority of those decisions (more than 300) occurred at the institution stage or pre-institution motion to terminate. Nineteen occurred in Final Written Decisions.
